From September 28 to 30, 2026, the 28th German Conference of Women in Physics will take place at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. The conference is open to all researchers, students, and physics enthusiasts from academia and industry.
The scientific program includes topics closely related to the research activities of OSCAR, such as optical physics, photonics, and quantum technologies, with a particular emphasis on light–matter interaction and optical control on the atomic scale.
In addition to the scientific program, the conference offers:
• Career sessions with a focus on industry
• Soft skill workshops
• Networking opportunities with academia and industry

While participation in the conference is open to everyone, abstract submissions are reserved for women and persons who identify as female. In addition, some workshops and program elements are specifically designed for women and persons who identify as female, in line with the conference’s mission.
The conference fee is kept moderate and includes coffee breaks, lunch, and the conference dinner. Early bird registration is available until June 1, 2026.
Participants are encouraged to book accommodation early. Information on student travel grants will be published on the conference website.
