Christina Jörg receives a Daimler-Benz Scholarship

Christina Jörg receives a Daimler-Benz Scholarship for her project “Nonlinear organic-polymer composite materials for 3D photonic structures”, in which she will explore fabricating 3D structures from an organic-polymer mixture by 3D micro-printing.
The Daimler-Benz Foundation grants twelve scholarships annually to selected postdoctoral researchers, junior professors, and leaders of junior research groups. These scholarships aim to enhance the independence and creativity of the upcoming generation of scientists, while also facilitating the career progression of dedicated researchers during their post-doctoral phase.
Each scholarship provides €40,000 over two years, which can be utilized for a range of purposes such as supporting research assistants, purchasing equipment, funding research expeditions, or attending conferences. Additionally, through scheduled gatherings of young scientists within the expanding network of scholarship recipients, the Daimler and Benz Foundation fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration.
