General information about doctoral procedures

Please note that the German form must be completed in each case. The English form only serves as a translation aid.

Please submit a PDF version of your dissertation in addition to the printed version. Please send this by e-mail or as a Seafile link to

dekanat(at)physik.rptu.de

 

Doctoral defenses take place as presence events.

In exceptional cases, reviewers can be connected digitally. This must be agreed with the Dean's Office in advance.

Current doctoral procedures

Below you will find information on the implementation of doctoral procedures. If you have any questions regarding your doctoral procedure, please contact dekanat@physik.rptu.de.

  • Please submit the reports by the deadline in writing to RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, Fachbereich Physik, -Dekanat-, Postfach 3049, 67653 Kaiserslautern or as PDF-File at dekanat@physik.rptu.de.
  • The display is technically realized via the platform "Seafile" of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate: seafile.rlp.net
  • All university members have access to Seafile via their RHRK account - log in with xxx@rhrk.uni-kl.de and enter the RHRK password.
  • All those who have already logged in to Seafile will find the "Doctoral procedure" library in the "Released for me" area.
  • Those who have a legitimate interest in viewing the files and have never logged in to Seafile before or cannot find the folder under the aforementioned point, please write a short e-mail message to kerstin.krauss@rptu.de - the release will then take place shortly.
  • An objection to the doctoral procedure must be submitted in writing to the Dean's Office. Alternatively, the objection can also be submitted by certified email.
  • Unless otherwise announced, the doctoral debate will take place in lecture hall 46/270.
  • The doctoral candidates and the committee member(s) are present on site.
  • Other members of the faculty or members of the University may also be present in person at the debate.
  • The chairperson of the commission decides on the admission of guests.
  • The presentation is held via a projector.
  • The blackboard may be used during the debate.
  • Minutes will be taken during the debate.
  • Marks will be awarded after the question and answer session.
  • The grade is then announced.
  • The two (three) rapporteurs and the chairperson of the commission must sign the file
