eTeaching summer semester 2020

Due to current situation, the Department of Physics will provide the following e-teaching services starting from April 20, 2020.

Questions, Feedback, Problems, …

For any questions belonging separate courses please contact the respective person in charge stated below.

For general questions belonging your study program you can still use the student counselling of the Department.

The department is looking forward to your feedback on the online courses. What are your own experiences? What went well? What can be improved? Where do you see problems? Please continue to seek contact with your fellow students and the respective lecturers. For general feedback please write to studienmanagement(at)physik.uni-kl.de

Note: If you have not yet received any information about your chosen courses, please check whether you have registered correctly and contact the lecturers responsible.

In deviation from regulations in the module descriptions, an application for all courses is necessary to participate at the respective online phase this semester. For further information about the application process please see the respective course entry below. Please only use your RHRK mail address for application. After the application you will receive further information at your RHRK mail address how to use the online service for the chosen lecture. The application only serves as a communication between lecturers and students.

Attention: The application will not be forwarded to the examination office. In case that you want to take an exam, you have to apply separately for it according to the examination regulations.

To participate effectively in the online courses, you need infrastructure (computers for streaming or downloading videos, downloading materials, creating solutions for exercise sheets /  seminar papers, etc.)

We therefore recommend that you purchase a computer (laptop or desktop) if you do not yet have your own device. If you are currently unable to participate in the online events due to missing hardware, please contact our dean's office (dekanat(at)physik.uni-kl.de) so that we can help you.

In the online phase, it is difficult to find out who is attending the same event. The department therefore offers a central point of contact for the formation of study groups. You can set up study groups independently of the lecturers and get in touch with your fellow students.

You can easily join the learning group system via mattermost. To do this, click here.

The individual groups can be found under "Public channels" (Öffentliche Kanäle) in the left bar. Click on "More ..." (Mehr...) to join existing groups. Alternatively, you can join the groups via the direct links in the information on the respective courses on this page.

You are welcome to create new private or public channels. Use the integrated function to discuss with your fellow students via Skype for Business (RHRK), jitsi or BigBlueButton.

An overview of the alternative dates for canceled exams can be found in the KIS: Link

For exams in other departments, please also note the information on the website of the respective department.

Oral exams in the Department of Physics are again possible. Details on the procedure will be given by the respective examiner.
