Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • For admission we require from the applicant's Bachelor's degree a comparable curriculum to the program of Bachelor of Science in physics at TU Kaiserslautern. From our experience, in most cases it is necessary to check:
    • quantum mechanics / quantum theory 1 (9 credits)
    • statistical mechanics / thermodynamics theory (9 credits)
    • experimental quantum physics (9 credits)
    • physics laboratory courses in mechanics, electrodynamics, optics (12 credits)
    • language requirements (see below)
  • Some special cases may allow to complete the requirements at TU Kaiserslautern (see below). Keep in mind, your overall time to complete the master program AQP will extend.
  • While we can ask you to complete some of the missing courses during your stay here, no more than 30 credits are allowed to be completed additionally. If the additional requirements would exceed the limit of 30 credits by far, the admission committee will have no choice but rejecting your application.
